Lately, the work lives where AI meets human judgment: interfaces where people review, question, and come to trust what a system produces. Before that came design systems measured in the thousands of components, and products for legal editors, retailers, and scientists. Different rooms, same job: Help sharp people see clearly.
The work is better when I know the humans doing it. I'll ask about your weekend before your backlog; I want to know what you're reading, what you refuse to order at a restaurant, and what you'd do with a free Tuesday. Hearing what lights you up lights me up. Teams that know each other this way argue better, ship better, and stay in touch long after the engagement ends.
Right now, life is Paris. French classes, a slowly-forming routine, walking routes in open auditions for favourite status. Some evenings, I'm figure-drawing in the basement of a live music bar in Montmartre; most others I've claimed a nook somewhere, watching the city go about its business. Being new here has made me a beginner again, which turns out to be its own kind of privilege.
Also true: two cats named Sasha and Henry, a film camera that comes everywhere, a weakness for flea markets, and a firm belief that dinner should take three hours.
